Allow me to introduce myself in this video introduction!
Thank you for visiting my website. You can search for properties here or contact me directly.
Sales are still strong in the Durango area. I think the low interest rates are driving this factor and if you haven't been watching the rates for awhile, I've got a link to a short video from one of our local lenders, Peter Pritchard with Animas Mountain Mortgage. Peter talks about the low interest rates and things that have changed recently in the overall market. Click on the link below to see his most recent short video on the current rates (1/27/15). You may be pleasantly surprised that all interest rates are below 4% at this time. Rates are predicted to rise by many entities as the year progresses, however I would advise you to talk to a local lender.
Lots of sellers pull their listings off the market at this time of the year or potential sellers think they'll wait until Spring to list their property. Here are some excellent reasons to reconsider. Less properties on the market equals less competition for your house. Interest rates are so low right now and slated to rise as the year progresses. Plus serious buyers are still looking at properties online every single day. Let me show you the latest sales and listing numbers in your area, along with current real estate trends, and then you can decide if waiting is the smartest option for you. Click below for the one page condensed view or review the entire document in whole.
And have I mentioned RHA? The Rural Housing Alliance of La Plata County is one of the coolest organizations around! If you're a first time home buyer, or if it's been while and you need a refresher course in today's real estate process, this is right up your alley. RHA offers mortgage assistance and education to La Plata County residents to help reduce the cost of buying a home. So much great information! I'm a volunteer real estate instructor with RHA because I believe it's such a worthy cause.
Here is the Durango Magazine Winter/Spring 2014/15 edition. Be sure to check out the Dining Guide!
Have a Happy New Year! May 2015 be your best year ever!
P.S. I'm not endorsing Peter exclusively, but he presents the material and information in an easy to understand way. I relate to graphs and pretty colors. Don't you? However, we have great local lenders that know our area and they have great ideas of which loans work best for each individual's needs.
And lastly, thank you very much...Trish
